2013 NEWS FLASH!! Hazel earned her AKC Master Hunter title this spring which gave her the distinction of being the FIRST FEMALE Chesapeake ever to have earned a breed championship title, utility dog obedience title and master hunter title!
Hazel was born on April 16th, 2007, her AKC registered name is Blucollars Hocus Pocus. She
is out of the first litter that I've ever bred, which in itself was
quite an adventure! Her mother, Blucollars Absolute Ambition CD, JH did
not take kindly to the idea of motherhood and decided that it was
something she'd rather not partake in!
Although I had not planned on
keeping a puppy from the litter, it was inevitable that due to the
amount of time, effort, sweat, tears and sleepless nights which was put
forth into the feeding, burping, stimulating and cleaning of these sweet
little pups, one of them was bound to weasel its way into my heart and
home!
The only deadgrass colored pup of the group, wearing the white rick rack ribbon was the one, the one who stole my heart. I would call her Hazel, little Hazel white. And she would become the matriarch and foundation of Blucollar Chesapeakes.
